CAULIFLOWER CURRY/SUBZI IN ONION SAUCE

This is a simple and easy curry with cauliflower . We normally chop the onions for any type of curry/subzi we prepare, but this way  tastes different when these cauliflowers get cooked in onion sauce. Coming to sauce ,it is nothing but grinding the onion.
This subzi goes very well with rice and also with Chapathi's. Do try this delicious cauliflower subzi and enjoy :)

For this Subzi/Curry you need

1 medium sized cauliflower
1 onion
1 tsp. of cumin seed
1 tsp. of sambar powder
Salt
Oil

How to prepare this Cauliflower Curry ?

Preparation

Wash and chop the cauliflower.

Add these cauliflower florets with sufficient water and turmeric powder. When the water starts boiling, remove from flame .Drain the water and keep it aside.

Chop the onion, and grind it coarsely.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. Now add the grinded onions and saute it well, until the raw smell extracts from it and the onion paste turns slightly brown

Add the florets along with sambar powder and salt.Mix it gently.

Add little water, cover and cook in low flame. Keep stirring occasionally, until the water gets drained off and the cauliflowers get cooked.

Finally garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Spicy Cauliflower subzi is ready to be served...................

Serve it with sambar rice/Chapathi and enjoy :)

Note:
If you want it more spicy , you can add chilli powder to it.
